Sophie Power is a NYC-based Documentarian/Producer and self-shooter. Power was shortlisted by the Academy for the 2025 Student Oscars for directing hybrid documentary ‘Whatever A Sun Will Always Sing’. She’s directed and produced short documentaries for Radical Media and recently collaborated on Sudance winning documentary ‘The Legend of Luis Valdez’ (2026) and Sundance & SXSW winning documentary ‘Selena y Los Dinos’ (2025). Power was nominated for a BAFTA scholarship in 2024 and qualified as a Netflix Documentary Talent Fund finalist. She has produced campaigns for Converse and Nike and worked with such clients as Carhartt WIP, BBC and On- Running. Documentaries she has collaborated on have screened on National Geographic, Sky Documentaries, PBS and Netflix.
